I will be previewing all of the NE-10 football teams over the next 10 days. I will roll out each team in my preseason poll from # 10 to # 1. The NE-10 will release the coaches' preseason poll on August 19th.

The season starts on September 1st when St. Anselm travels to Wagner and Pace is at Millersville.

Here is my pick for #10 in the league in 2016:

Pace University Setters (1-10, 0-9 NE-10)

Coach: Andrew Rondeau, 3rd season (2-20)

Opening Game: September 1st @ Millersville

2016 Roster

The Pace football program has made a lot of strides over the past several years. They are not projected to win the league this year but they are becoming competitive week in and week out. The coaching staff has been recruiting depth and talent to the roster and things continue to look up for the Setters.

The offense will look to run the ball and will welcome back top rushers Michael Scotman and Delaney Wallace. Dan Anerella saw the majority of the snaps last year and will be looking to improve on his freshman campaign. Wayne Haynes and Mohammad Masoud are the top receivers back and will look to stretch the field for the running game. The offensive line continues to get bigger and stronger in the trenches.

Matthew Corrie is the top returning tackler and will be the anchor of the defense from his linebacking position. Kadeem Langhorne and Kenneth Reilly will also be in charge of patrolling the middle of the field. Jah'Sheem Martin and Gavin Maher add some nice size to the defensive line and will look to spend some time in the opposing backfield. Myles Martin and Micah Hunter will look to limit the opposing passing game and be the leaders of the secondary.

Third year head coach Andy Rondeau has dealt with a lot of distractions off the field and hoping to put them behind him to focus on on-field success. He has preached to his team to play one week at a time and is hoping that translates to more success this season.
