It is a bye week for league play, but Post was able to find Shippensburg who lost their scheduled league game when Cheyney dropped their program. Head coach Bryan Collins didn't like the bye week last year and is happy to play 10 straight weeks this year.
LIU Post (4-0, 4-0 NE-10) @ Shippensburg (2-3, 0-2 PSAC East)
When: October 6th, 1:00 PM
All-Time Series: Shippensburg leads the series, 4-3-0
My Thoughts: Final OOC game of the year.
Post defeated Merrimack 37-20 and is the only overall undefeated team in the NE-10. They used the second quarter to run away with the victory as they moved the ball with ease and their defense made plays. The defense allowed some points late in the game to nearly double the amount of points they have given up this year. The Pioneers will need to get their offense moving early and the defense will need to slow down the aerial attack of Shippensburg.
Shippensburg lost to West Chester 28-21 and are in the midst of a three-game losing streak. They moved the ball via the air once again, but four picks hurt their chances of the upset as well as not being able to convert on third down. The Red Raiders will need to play mistake free and find a way to slow down the balanced offense of Post.
Post will continue their streak and find a way to win on the road.
Prediction: Post 24 Shippensburg 14
