It is Week 11 in the NE-10 and we have the biggest game of the season on the schedule. A champion will be crowned, and playoff positioning will be finalized.

Bentley (3-6, 3-5 NE-10) @ American International (1-7, 1-7 NE-10)

When: November 10th, 12:00 PM

All-Time Series: Bentley leads the series, 12-11-0

My Thoughts: Rivals.

Bentley lost to Assumption 52-21 last Saturday. After the game was tied at the half, they were not able to slow down the Greyhound offense and then not able to generate any offense. The Falcons will need to move the ball early and often. The defense will need to make stops.

American International won their first game of the season over Stonehill 34-19. They were able to make plays in all three phases of the game and end their 12-game losing streak. The Yellow Jackets need to repeat their performance against Stonehill and play a complete game.

Defenses will dominate the game, but Bentley will win on a late field goal.

Prediction: Bentley 16 American International 13

New Haven (8-1, 8-0 NE-10) @ # 13 LIU Post (9-0, 8-0 NE-10)

When: November 10th, 12:00 PM

All-Time Series: Post leads the series, 7-2-0

My Thoughts: NE-10 title on the line.

New Haven defeated St. Anselm 49-21 to set up this matchup. They exploded for 28 points in the second half to win their eighth straight game. The offense was able to move the ball and the defense played much better in the second half. The Chargers will need to find a way to slow down the Post offense and then take advantage with their own playmakers.

LIU Post overcame a late charge to defeat Southern Connecticut 24-13. They have taken on all comers this year and have one more challenge to step up to. Mistakes cost the offense the momentum in the fourth quarter. The Pioneers will need to play mistake free and allow their playmakers to make plays. The defense will need to contain the Chargers and not allow them to move the ball with long drives.

This game will live up to the billing. Both teams are not very fond of each other and that will show up in the physical aspect of the game. Post will make some plays late and secure the title.

Prediction: Post 31 New Haven 21

Pace (6-3, 5-3 NE-10) @ St. Anselm (1-7, 1-7 NE-10)

When: November 10th, 1:00 PM

All-Time Series: St. Anselm leads the series, 14-6-0

My Thoughts: Teams headed in opposite directions.

Pace continued their breakout season with a 22-21 victory over Merrimack. They withstood a crazy fourth quarter and found a way to make a big stop on Merrimack's final drive. The Setters will need to take advantage of their strengths early and not allow the Hawks to move the ball with ease.

St. Anselm fell on the road to New Haven 49-21. They were within a touchdown at the half but were not able to overcome the play of the Chargers in the final 30 minutes. The Hawks will need to make plays on both sides of the ball and play with confidence.

This is Pace's season and will end on a high note.

Prediction: Pace 34 St. Anselm 17

Southern Connecticut (4-5, 3-5 NE-10) @ Merrimack (4-5, 4-4 NE-10)

When: November 10th, 1:00 PM

All-Time Series: Southern Connecticut leads the series 11-10-0

My Thoughts: Need to finish on a high note.

Southern Connecticut fell to LIU Post 24-13 at home. They made the game interesting in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to upset a top 25 team. The Owls will need to come out of the locker room playing well from the opening whistle. They need to control the clock and score in the red zone.

Merrimack lost on the road to Pace 22-21. It was a crazy fourth quarter as both teams traded scores, but a late Warrior drive was stopped just over midfield. The Warriors will need to play with the lead and not let the Owl running game dominate the clock.

This will be a close game, but Merrimack will find a way to win the game late.

Prediction: Merrimack 27 Southern Connecticut 23

Assumption (6-3, 6-2 NE-10) @ Stonehill (1-8, 1-7 NE-10)

When: November 10th, 6:00 PM

All-Time Series: Stonehill leads the series, 20-10-0

My Thoughts: Saturday Night Lights

Assumption had a strong second half in defeating Bentley 52-21. They rebounded nicely after a couple of tough losses to the top teams in the league. The offense and defense both turned it up a notch over the final 30 minutes. The Greyhounds will need more of that type of effort on the road. The offense needs to move the ball and the defense needs to make stops on third down.

Stonehill fell on the road to American International 34-19. They fell behind in the first half and were never able to recover. The Skyhawks will need to play a full 60-minute football game mistake free.

Assumption is at a different level right now and will take the game.

Prediction: Assumption 45 Stonehill 10
