This is it. The regular season draws to a close when the sun sets on Saturday. Some teams will move on, most will not. Many players look forward to next season, others say goodbye as their collegiate careers end. So many games take center stage as it's not just whether a team wins or loses, but how the other teams do that affect the Regional Rankings.

Below I have included the current Regional Rankings as well as a few games in the region that have playoff implications for MEC teams.

While Charleston failed to build off of their 10-2 season last year; but two teams stepped up this year. Fairmont State won on Thursday, and they are in. Notre Dame still has an outside chance. It's weird to see years of talk about how the WVIAC/MEC can't get two teams in the playoffs; and here with are with a small possibility of having three teams in the post-season.

So, let's get the formality of reading about Saturday out of the way, so we can concentrate on following the craziness of the games, the speculation, and the final selections.

2014: West Liberty, 38-16
2013: West Liberty, 9-0

WV State is coming off a win over Concord in a game that lacked much defense. The Yellow Jackets had a lot of optimism going into this season, and their record is a huge disappointment.

Look for WV State to put up a good fight, but the team that scared Shepherd on this field just a couple of weeks ago ends the season with the win at home.

West Liberty 35, WV State 24

Shepherd @ Urbana

2016 Records: Shepherd 9-0; Urbana 3-7
2015 Records: Shepherd 13-1; Urbana 2-9

Recent Meetings:
2015: Shepherd, 52-20
2014: Shepherd, 42-7
2013: Shepherd, 28-21

Shepherd needs a win in its regular season finale to remain within the top three of the SR1 regional rankings. The Rams will make the playoffs, win or lose, but they need to win if they want to guarantee at least one game is played at Ram Stadium. Despite finishing the regular season on the road, the Rams lose to the Blue Knights.

Urbana has lost a few close games in the back half of the season, but their losses against the top teams in the conference were not close. This game should be no exception. The Rams are probably hoping they can rest their starters late in the game to ensure their healthy for the playoffs.

Shepherd 43, Urbana 10

Notre Dame @ WV WesleyanConcord @ UNC-Pembroketh in the Super Region 2 regional rankings. Their lone loss came against Tuskegee University; who is also 8-1 and 6thOther Games to Watch

Winston-Salem State @ Bowie State

The CIAA Championship. Both teams are outside of the top seven in the Regional Rankings, but look for the winner to get up to at least 8th
