"There's no place like home." Week 2 proved that in the MEC as four of the five home teams secured victories for their fans. The fifth--Urbana--nearly made it a clean sweep. Two delivered shutouts.
Has the second week provided us with a true picture of what the future holds? Maybe.
Notre Dame is trying to assert itself as the #2 in the conference.
UVA-Wise is continuing last season's positive results.
WV Wesleyan may be a slepper, but time will tell.
Fairmont State may be another one-and-done contender. They nearly lost to Urbana, who almost won despite squandering four turnovers.
Charleston likes to run the ball.
Concord's season may seem to drag on longer than the others.
Of course any of these trends are subject to change and there's plenty of football left to be played.
