If you like a fast game of football, then I hope you tracked this non-conference game, as it took just two hours and eight minutes for future GLIAC member Davenport (5-3) to hand GLVC member Quincy (5-3) a 14-10 road defeat. For Quincy, offense came through the air, as the ground game was halted (33 carries, 47 yards) compared to a 286-yard day through the air for QB Robbie Kelley. DU, meanwhile, garnered 178 yards on the ground but was just 6-of-10 through the air as a team for 89 yards.
The Hawks came through on just five of 14 third-downs but got a strong defensive effort by T.J. Daniels, who totaled eight tackles (two for loss), forced a fumble and recorded the only QU sack.
