If you're a South Dakotan you have to like HC Dave Krauths main players from small towns like Summit (2), Letcher, Highmore, Viborg and Sturgis SD, plus Bismarck and Jamestown ND. With some young and upcoming Twin Cities area players.

Augustana looked very solid when they played at MSU. Granted, MSU is not very formidable this year, but the Vikings are fundamentally sound and have good size and depth. As well as quickness. I expect them, Northern, and Winona to be competing for the overall conference title this season.

Big couple games for the Wolves Friday/Tuesday. Both men and women bit since this is the women's thread. Wolves have to have these two against Moorhead. St. Cloud seems to always trip us up at least once and with having to play the like a of Augie, USF, Wayne and Winona yet, these two would be yuuuuuge. I know UMD is 4-0 but I don't feel that they are that good, time will tell.

Wayne really dropped the ball against Augie to open the conference season. Turned the ball over 20-some times and yet still forced overtime. The rematch in Sioux Falls next week should be a dandy.....as it always is

I neglected to mention WSC as another possible overall champion this season. Well-coached, physical, and good overall talent.
