No doubt. Both teams are very formidable.
Winona St. and WSC could also make a run for the overall title in the NSIC. Possibly Moorhead St. also.

It's always fun to see how teams built so dirlfferently match up. I think it will be Augie, NSU or Winona. I don't know enough on Wayne and NSU blew that 2nd game against NSU. I don't think Moorhead is as good this year, personally.

Agree on those three; also I think WSC has a chance. They are sizable and physical inside; and have good quickness and athleticism in their guards and small forwards. I'm basing that on having seen them play twice vs. MSU.
Moorhead is still in the running, but in my opinion behind those four.

I didn't mean to be dismissive of them, certainly they will be a test this Friday as well, just haven't heard them be regarded as in the past.

Excited to see how the WSU women match up against some of the top teams in the conference. They're fairly young, but athletic, with good size, and talented. Revenged their only loss this last weekend and looked pretty darn good doing it. McGlone makes them tick in many ways, but they can throw a number of different scorers at teams so it will be a fun remainder of the year.

Agree. McGlone is a force, and she has very good players around her, as well as depth.
The coach at Winona St. seems to recruit and coach very well. They have consistently been among the leading teams in the NSIC since I started following the conference when MSU got in back in 08-09.

The Fort Lewis women's basketball site always has the women's national and regional rankings. The D2 men's basketball page always has the men's D2SIDA rankings, I've never found a consistent source for their men's regional rankings
