The Mavs visit Augie this weekend. Did I hear you can drink at the games this year? :)

The question is, which Maverick team will show up? They need one win this weekend, and minimally one at home next weekend.

Sounds like that has been the same question for Augie this year as well. Two teams with a lot of potential but very inconsistent might make the Pentagon’s chocolate milk supply run dry.

Sources say representatives from Kemp’s read this board and they’ll have a truckload on standby.

I see this game being either in the 60s or 90s. More likely 90s with the way each team attempts to play defense. However if shots aren’t going for either team, it could require that chocolate milk.

Mankato and Augie have to be the leagues two biggest disappointments. Crazy year,

Well, if the Mavs win, I'll celebrate. If they lose, I'll drown my sorrows.

Remember when these used to be some of the most fun games of the year? Some real battles with a lot at stake.

I really thought at the beginning of the year when the rankings came out that it was the kiss of death. Lots of injuries yes, but there are also times when they just looked to be sleepwalking.

Indeed, some very good games with great atmosphere. Shouldn’t be long and that’ll be back. Then gone again when Augie leaves.

Agree on the sleepwalking. I’ve been trying to determine if some of that lost look at times this year is the team trying to figure each other out. Injuries? Sure. But good teams have depth to overcome those. Even though they were/are plentiful. This is a fairly young group, which is almost never said at MSU. They have one transfer (Kramer) on the entire team (D1 or otherwise) and he’s just a sophomore. I really dislike looking at next season when this one isn’t over, but the future might actually be bright and what Mavs fans have been accustomed to seeing. Holt will be an absolute beast if he stays at MSU for his 4 years. Seales is fun to watch and can be a good leader.

I also wonder if this coaching staff is equipped to handle a youthful team and make them better. That hasn’t been their MO in the past, but maybe they can adapt too.

I'm excited for Friday night's games in Winona. Both the men's and women's games with WSU and USF were great when the teams met a few weekends ago.

The Warrior women have been on a massive slide, so barring a major turn around, USF will get a win there.

The Men's game could be another barn burner. The Warriors have been playing much better as of late, but will need to be physical to keep up with a really impressive USF team.

That Northern-Duluth game could be fun.

Mankato 18, Corvon Seales 8, Augie 7 at the under 5.

What is up with Kreiger? Hes barely shuffling around out here. Looks like a shell of his former self.

Fast break and Parker called for a charge for making contact with a backpedaling Duluth defender...we are going on two weeks of this crap

Kato playing a sound defensive game and shooting three's well. Augie struggling with 3 ball. 26-14
