So what your saying is that yes I was correct and am still the king of all things rules related. :) :)
Oh and good luck to OUR club today, hopefully Marg's has the boys ready.

What I’m saying is you go a lot smarter once you removed the St Cloud avatar. Funny how that works!

      so far so good 👍🏻

Mavs survive. They have not been a good late game team at all this year.

Oh well. They had to have that game and I thought Cloud got an unbelievable whistle—I think 6 total fouls and 3 total free throws until about 1:30 left when they started fouling. The W is all the mattered and they got it.

I certainly don’t want to promote tampering.

But if I was Dave Richman, I’d be tampering.

Should Bergstrasser be on the hot seat for redshirting Carson Johnson?

I don't think anybody could have dreamed he would be this good. And originally, you wouldn't sit Jacob Benninga for an untested(at that time) freshman.

Hes way too good for the Summit League, especially a garbage coach like Dave Richman

Various examples of top nsic guys leaving very good situations for the supposed “greener pastures” of mid major d1s…Mason Stark immediately comes to mind…in hindsight staying d2 probably best move for vast majority of those players.

A true freshmen with the skillset of Carson Johnson is arguably the most valuable NSIC commodity in the transfer portal era. He's significantly better than Mason Stark already.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but Richman definitely does not have a good reputation around the Fargo-Moorhead area. As a Dragons fan, I'm 0% worried about losing him to NDSU. Other D1s? Sure.

My point is that just because he is a very good player doesn’t guarantee a better overall experience for him at d1 school. Plenty of examples of guys going d1 and probably wish they stayed in good d2 situation.

I watched the Saturday quarterfinals this morning, so here are some quick reactions before I move on to the semifinals...

Minot vs. Concordia SP - I didn't see this game live, so if someone had told me that Kimmons had 35 points and Van De Griend only played 7 minutes in first half due to foul trouble, I would just assume the outcome went the other way. (Another oddity: Jaxon Gunville attempting 0 3s, but still scoring 15 points. This from a man where 85% of his field goal attempts were from 3 in the regular season, 2nd highest in the conference!) But seeing the Beavers commit just 6 turnovers and Ayouba Berthe going off for 23 (5-6 from 3) then makes a Minot W make sense. (Also, big shout out to Berthe doing that mid-Ramadan fasting!) Impressive win for the Beavers.

Winonva vs. SMSU - the Skyhawks-turned-Warriors game! Isaiah Thompson & Jhei-R Jones used that March basketball experience on a team that doesn't have much of it otherwise. In the first half especially I felt this was the most complete I've seen Winona play, even with Luke Haertle taking a backseat for the night. Really active hands on D, precise & quick passing on offense, and converting their jumpers at a high rate.

St. Cloud vs. Mankato - the Mavs did a great job of being disciplined in not giving St. Cloud what they wanted offensively in trips to the line. That obviously flipped in the second half, as well as St. Cloud taking advantage of some lackluster defensive rebounding by Mankato, but ultimately the Mavs' two seniors took care of business in this game. (Some good contributions off the Mankato bench, too.) Seems like this would end St. Cloud's regional consideration, especially with Minot grabbing a win.

Augustana vs. MSUM - so yeah, Carson Johnson's pretty good. Nothing in his freshman campaign suggested that he would be, but it's nice to have confirmed that he's not thrown off by the bigger stage of postseason play. It was exciting to hear that JaMir Price was available again, as the oft-dreamed about scenario for Dragons fans of Carson-Jacob Beeninga-Price all on the floor at one time actually happened. Sadly, it looked like Price may not be fully himself yet, as he seemed a little hesitant to drive into the lane with his usual verve. Something to monitor.

No sarcasm for once. Dave Richman is bad at his job, I can't believe he's remained in that position this long.
