Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like NKU is the first former GLVC team to make the NCAA Division I men's tournament. They had a charmed bracket to play teams with conference records of 5-13 and 4-14 in the semis and finals but I'm sure no one in Highland Heights cares how it happened. I still don't like Northern but congrats to them tonight.

I was at the Bellarmine regional in 2012 and thought there had to be more than 100 KWC supporters. I looked up the box score and it had 837 for the afternoon session with KWC, USI, Indy, and Hillsdale. I only really remember seeing USI and KWC fans there outside of a handful of others so perhaps that's not a big number but USI and KWC both had to both have brought at least a couple of hundred a piece.

7 out of 8 number 1 seeds are still among the final 16. Only one #2 is left, however. Since all the #1's are playing at home, you would have to call them all big favorites. Northwest Mo is the only one playing a #2, Southwest Minn St. NWMSt had to go overtime to win their first round game.

We failed as a group to take our usual collective pleasure in the fact that West Liberty lost their first round game. I guess the thrill is gone since whatsherface from WLU hasn't been posting over here.

There are two #2 seeds left, Lincoln Memorial in the Southeast Region is the 2 seed, will face the #1 seed Queens.
