Would make no sense so probably.

Don't see AB following. There was one opening and D&E filled it.

BTW - Because most G-MAC teams play AB and D&E on the same trip, this doesn't change the dynamic nearly as much as if both schools left for the MEC together. However, If there are no more changes, I would expect AB and OVU to now be travel partners. So, that is still one trip to WV instead of two.

Maybe Daeger wants to remove some schools so that he can make the conference look a little more enticing to certain schools that the G-MAC is trying to get to be members. He was awfully gracious to a school leaving his conference and giving only 10 months notice.

This does seem to set a precedent should and when other schools leave and give notice. I don't know how this all works, but D&E seems to be given a lot of leeway by this conference.
I believe this. I might change it from "wants to" to something a little more benign, but I do think this benefits long-term expansion.

I don't know if the the G-MAC has a requirement that a school gives a few years notice before leaving the league, but it seems like Shepherd and Wise weren't held to the supposed MEC requirement. Apparently such rules don't hold water. Just an observation. Also, I would still like to see the G-MAC add another football school...still beatin' that dead horse.

They have a nice little gym. That's about it.

    A) I completely get the geographic move. It makes sense.
    B) This confirms part of the rumors that we heard earlier - will be interesting to see if related rumors also happen (some had UNC Pembroke also being involved for football, swimming and wrestling).
    C) This really really sucks for AB. AB was already on an island, but at least they had a buddy.
    D) D&E is not the strongest athletic program, but I always viewed them as a classy organization.
    E) Not worried at all by this.

I was starting to wonder Buckeye. Great to hear from you.

Definite mystery year for Cedarville. Fingers crossed.

One of my daughters' friends is a Freshman for the Chargers, so I now have a secondary G-MAC rooting interest.

    BuckeyeBlitz G-MAC Volleyball Prediction

Sorry, I am late on this. Been traveling the world this summer.

    West Division:
    1. Hillsdale - Returning basically everyone from a great team last year! They are still at the top of the conference with a strong coach that knows the region!
    2. Findlay - Also returning almost everyone and are well coached! The Findlay/Hillsdale matched will be the big ones this year!
    3. Tiffin - New to the conference this year, and were rapidly improving as last season moved along!
    4. KWC - Another team that was on the rise last year and have a strong returning group that pulled off some upsets last season.
    5. Cedarville - Never thought I would see the day when I would have them down, but they lost a lot of talent including one of the best coaches around.
    6. Ohio Dominican - They just have never found a groove since moving to DII.
    7. Trevecca - Still in rebuilding mode after a major overhaul last season.

    East Division:
    1. Walsh - They came on strong at the end of last season and made great improvements. With the implosion at Lake Erie, they are the team to beat on the East.
    2. Malone - They have the talent, just could not put it all together last season. I suspect they will come on strong in the division.
    3. Lake Erie - Lost their coach and a few players to Ashland. They made a great hire, but will struggle this season to have the same success.
    4. Davis & Elkins - I would not be surprised if they pull off some upsets this year.
    5. Ursuline - They will be on the edge of making the tourney this year. Love their coach and he is doing the best he can with a highly restrictive scholarship situation.
    6. Ohio Valley - They could be stronger than this with the international talent, but I need to see actual proof of that.
    7. Alderson Broaddus - They just have not been the same since Coach Bodkins moves into a full time administrative role.
