  • Former GNAC coaches update

Feel free to add to this list:

Former SPU coach Ryan Looney is 16-7 at Point Loma, his second season, after a fine 17-13 last year. Really good coach.

Former WOU coach Brady Bergeson is 15-5 at Regis University in Denver. He rebuilt a bad Regis program, just like he rebuilt WOU. Excellent coach.

Former SPU coach Jeff Hironaka is 3-17 in his first year at Colorado Christian. Guessing this is a rebuild job, too. Good coach, Final 4 guy at SPU.

Not sure where former SPU, PSU, WSU head coach Ken Bone has landed; former WOU coach Craig Stanger is an assistant at Hawaii-Pacific after being the head women's coach at BYU-Hawaii, leading them to their first winning season in school history before (oddly) the college eliminated intercollegiate athletics.

According to Wikipedia, he's spent the last two seasons as a special assistant to Mark Few at Gonzaga. http://www.coachesdatabase.com/ken-bone/

He's not there now, found out he's living in the Puget Sound area. He was an excellent Big Sky coach, someone in that league should hire him ... also a very good D2 coach. Not quite the dynamic personality/recruiter for high D-1, IMO.
