Got to checkout UAA in the inter squad scrimmage and against the Alumni which they won by 65. Obviously not much can be taken from these as to how good the team ultimately is but I was able to pick up some things.

The starting lineup will most likely consist of David Rowland, Tobin Karlberg, Keegan Crosby, Hunter Sweet and Oggie Pantovic. I feel confident in saying this will be a very strong lineup offensively capable of scoring in bunches. Rowlands is really good and combined with Karlberg is going to be a lights out shooting back court. Hunter and Crosby are smart, do everything type forwards that can score and defend and be playmakers when needed. Oggie is back with his off the dribble game, tough rebounding and dynamo spin moves.

Off the bench you’ve got some decent depth and that’s not counting the injured players which I will get to later. Vojtech Ruzek is a long forward who plays most on the perimeter and loves the corner 3. He gets lost defensively at times but also makes a ton of hustle plays, gets hands on balls and comes up with tough rebounds due to his length and athleticism. AJ Garrity is a good defender and shooter off the bench at the guard position. Comes in and replicates much of what you get from Rowlands and Karlberg without much drop off. Caleb Larsen (So) is a solid PG who comes in and makes the right play and doesn’t try to force too much. Big men David Riley (Sr) and Evan Hoosier (Fr) provide quality depth behind Oggie. Hoosier is a willing passer who keeps the ball moving. Riley is one to get all the dirty work done. Both capable of giving the Seawolves tough D and rebounding when Pantovic is off the floor. Wing Luke Devine is a intelligent player that has a nice future, just needs to work on the basic things most freshmen need (body development, tighten up the handle, defensive awareness etc)

Jr point guard Tyson Gilbert is expected back early 2022 coming off injury. He has a athletic, explosive guard who will add yet another dimension to UAAs attack once he is back.

Jr wing and D1 drop down Darius Guinn is another talented wing but battling a long term injury like Gilbert. A shooter scorer type will give them yet another offensive weapon whenever he is able to make it back into playing shape.

Super freshman Isaiah Moses is also battling injury. Super quick and athletic with a deadly shot. He will make an immediate impact once able to play and will be one of the top freshman on the west coast. He had 28 in an intra-squad scrimmage earlier this year showing a dizzying array of shot making.

Overall UAA will be much of the same, a lights out shooting team. Grind it out defensively but this years team appears to have more depth, size and versatility when/if they get everyone back. Rusty Osborne will have some pieces to work with and mesh together.

Great report, thanks. Sounds like they have a lot of depth this year and talent.
