The tournament returns to San Diego for the first time since 2014 as Point Loma will serve as host this season. Their men beat Academy of Art in the regular season finale to force a tie between the two at the top of the standings. Point Loma won the tiebreaker, though I'm genuinely unsure what that tiebreaker was since they split their regular-season series. I fully expect a rubber match to decide which team gets the automatic bid, while the other will be watching the scoreboards hoping to grab the 8-seed at the regional.
