  • More insane stuff from WOU women's coaching staff

Saturday at NNU, WOU assistant coach (who is part of the lawsuit), got two technicals and got thrown out. This was after one technical by a WOU women's player.

However, there's still more, our women's head coach left the gym -- without a technical -- when the assistant got tossed. She didn't return, a men's assistant had to coach the rest of the game.

What's worse, these two coaches STILL have jobs at WOU.

It'll be interesting to see if there's more to this story, but why would a coach leave when they're not kicked out?

    WOU needs to start over.

For some reason our athletic director won't fire her. She should have been fired after the game. Last year when they forfeited six games it was the coach who asked the players to vote if they wanted to finish the season. She's either remarkably lazy and doesn't like to coach or something's wrong upstairs. This is just insane but they keep letting it go on. I don't know why the athletic director won't fire her and her assistant. They are not good people or coaches.

Correction ... If an assistant coach is thrown out, the head coach also has to be ejected.

Nevertheless, WOU needs a change in women's hoop leadership at the end of the season.

That's crazy. No matter what, that's embarrassing. What would have happened if there was no coach to help?

Not sure, I wouild've asked if there was a grade school coach in the house, they'd do better.

Of course our soft admins didn't reprimand or suspend. Incredible.

Agreed. If she wasn't the one ejected, that's abandoning your post. I wonder if there would have been a way for the AD to frame a dismissal under those circumstances as actually accepting her resignation so you wouldn't have to honor the rest of her contract.

Sounds like Tim says head coach is gone if the assistant is kicked out. Didn't realize that rule. Either way, it's another black eye for the program.

WOU didnt reprimand or suspend the coaches. It's just incredible at this point. I'm starting to think they're not going to fire them either.

So..........first year for this coach was 10-19 on the season overall (GNAC says 10-13, but doesn't "count" the six forfeited games in the final standings, just the GNAC portion of the standings)and those losses include 6 forfeits to end the season, a scandal, a resume so bad they had to change her bio in deleting the part where she says she played college bball and now a lawsuit. Second year includes an 8-16 season, that at best will be 9-17 (they'll get rolled by Anchorage in a couple of hours tonight and maybe will beat Fairbanks) and last week you and your assistant were kicked out of the game.

Sounds like a program-building two seasons for this duo.

Just horrific leadership by the coaches and the administration. I don't know why they won't take action on these two. After the game they could have suspended them for two games. I don't care if they would have pulled any coach to coach them. And then after the season just fire them. I think they're pretty paranoid about losing this lawsuit.

The usually good college president is silent on this.
