    Update:

The RMAC has dropped Women's Tennis. The conference dropped Men's Tennis in 2018 leaving Colorado Mesa, Colorado State-Pueblo, and Metropolitan State to compete as Independents. Both Mesa and Metro men's and women's programs join the PWC as an affiliate; announcements were made in February. Pueblo's women's team joins the men's team as an Independent for the time being; their coach just "semi"-retired so a lot is happening with the program.

Finally, something from Allen. They will be adding Men's and Women's Cross Country. The release says a conference has yet to be determined but may land in the SIAC. How is that possible since the first question on the application is what conference have you received an invitation from. Maybe they just don't want to say anything yet for some reason; or there is something else going on.

NCAA gives UST the OK to move to D1. Summit for most sports, WCHA for women's hockey and Pioneer football.

Since all three had accepted invitations to their respective conferences for at least 1.5 years, they were already included on the conference schedules.
I suppose the introduction of the McMurry rule in D3 complicated matters for reclassification. Before that, Year 1 schools could still be eligible for the postseason in D3. (It appears that Mississippi College and the current four are the only schools to make the D3 to D2 move since.)

Maybe a possible opening for a future Northern Colorado move to the Summit and MVFC. Some have said that UNC identifies with the West more than the Plains but they have been in the Big Sky for only 14 years while they were conference mates with UNO and the 4 Dakota schools for 25 years in the NCC. UNC wrestling is with NDSU and SDSU in the Big12 and previously in the Western Wrestling Conference since the schools moved to D1.

    Updates:

Alderson Broaddus is now listed as an affiliate on the GMAC site for Men's Lacrosse. The ECC release about the D'Youville College and College of Staten Island transition to D2 says D'Youville will not appear on ECC schedules in 2020-2021 and will play a D2/D3 mixed schedule.

Yes- I remember talking to UNC baseball players when they came to play at Mankato back in the NCC days.

D1 Northern Colorado is moving their baseball from the WAC to the Summit in 2021-22. Good move IMO.

The PBC adds Men's Lacrosse as a championship sport in an announcement on July 9. Alabama-Huntsville, Lander, Montevallo, and Shorter will participate in the inaugural 2021 season. Flagler College will be a new team starting for the 2022 season and Young Harris College also joins in the 2022 season after sitting out the 2021 season.

Little coverage? More like no coverage. The latest news on Allen's website is about wrestling on May 21. The only reason we know anything about them is from the February Membership Committee report and today's announcement by the committee. CSI even did a fun and exciting video just for advancing to Year 2.

    D'Youville College: Division II Announcement

It appears that D'Youville might begin D2 competition in Year 1.
In the upcoming 2020 season, the Saints will meet new conference challengers including the Daemen Wildcats, Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks, Molloy College Lions, and others. In recent campus communications to current parents and students, D'Youville announced it's restart plan for the campus opening in the fall. The athletic schedule is set to move forward as of this point, although that is subject to change with the monitoring of the COVID-19 pandemic.
