  • TOP 10 D2 STADIUMS...

This was posted a year ago when fans weren't necessarily paying attention or maybe it was just me. These are some amazing facilities and of course there are many that didn't make the list. MIAA seems to really focus on the need for a top notch game day experience. Who's missing ? Who's oddly charming (Bowman-Grey) but not Top 10 ? Who should be bumped ?

Lenoir-Rhyne should probably be on the list now, but absolutely will be once the new stadium is finished. https://www.lr.edu/give/moretz-stadium Staying in the SAC, Catawba has a beautiful new turf field and a very tidy, underrated stadium to boot. https://twitter.com/catawbaindians/s...44248970055682

Still way to early to list Lenoir Rhyne's new Mortz Stadium, since it hasn't been constructed yet and still has temporary seating in place. Last report said that they are still around 7 million dollars short of what's needed to complete the proposed plans. We could end up seeing a scaled down version of the original plans, or a major time delay.

It's a top class atmosphere right now, no SAC team has the tailgating and in-stadium experience that LR has. Last update the school has raised 8.5 of the proposed 14 million for the stadium prior to the public phase of fundraising beginning. LR should easily raise that over the course of the fall football season. The future looks bright.
