I had a long road trip this past weekend so watched a lot of D2 football as I was traveling some of the things that I noticed:
The Slippery Rock 2 point play to win in OT was awesome! How awesome? The Bills used a variation of it yesterday.
The Kutztown announcers are really good. Valdosta announcers were solid too.
Fortunately the sound wasn't working in the Western Colorado game so I didnt have to listen to those announcers. Assuming they are same ones from the last couple years. Unfortunately, the sound was working for the CSU-Pueblo color guy. "If they don't stop him he will score a touchdown" He also talked nonstop about clock management starting early 3rd quarter in a 2 score game.
Ferris State just scored again.
Harding vs Ferris is probably the de factor title game.
VUU and Valdosta should prove to be their opponent. I was unable to catch any of the VUU or Ashland games. No internet on parts of I90 in South Dakota.
Bemidji and Minnesota State are S L O W
The MIAA is no longer the class of D2. The move along with the GAC to SR4 next year will give the MIAA some false confidence until they run into Harding in region or Ferris/GVSUValdosta in semi or finals.
Tremaine Jackson is the real deal as a HC. If I'm NW or Pitt (next year) i back up the Brinks truck.
