In the midst of the bowl game announcement a few weeks back, it had me thinking. I think it would be great if the two conferences could come to an agreement, where the similarly ranked conference team of each conference, would play each other the following season. The schedule would rotate each year, in the sense of the first year, the #1 teams will play at the GLIAC team's home field, while moving to the GMAC team's home field the second season, and so on. The schedule this year would be:
Hillsdale @ Ferris St
ODU @ GVSU
Tiffin @ Ashland
Findlay @ SVSU
Walsh @ Davenport
AB @ Northwood
KW @ Mich Tech
Lake Erie @ North Mich
I realize that some of our Southern most conference teams, playing against the UP would be a heavy travel burden, therefore, maybe they could play a Nuetral site game at a stadium like UT, BGSU, possibly the Lions stadium, or something similar? This could also be an idea for other conferences outside of the GLIAC, possibly the PSAC as well.
