St A looking at the real possibility of something similar to last year's 1-8. Tonight's game started with a muffed KO and went downhill from there. The score was what it was because GARY DUNN called off the dogs and the VULCANS were still working out the kinks in their offense. HAWKS may have enough passing to beat PACE or PIERCE but even that isn't a sure thing.

Some firsts from the first Franklin Pierce game:
1. First coin toss - lost by FPU, Wesley defers
2. First kickoff - FPU runs a reverse, gains a total of 8 yards
3. First offensive play - Delay of game penalty
4. First actual offensive play - 4 yard loss by QB Dylan McDermott
5. First positive gain came on their second series - a 2 yard gain by KO Gaskin
6. First pass play attempt resulted in a sack
7. First defensive turnover came on Wesley muffed punt
8. First first down came from a pass interference penalty, which was followed by the first offensive turnover, a McDermott interception.
9. First non-penalty first down came on a McDermott run in the second quarter.
Still waiting for an FPU pass completion.
FPU may also have the first female player in NE10 history in kicker Morgan Smith.
Wesley is up 23-0 midway through the second and it seems about right given the lack of experience and age on the FPU side. FPU will have its day, but today is not that day (at least so far).
