Backup kicker misses a chip shot FG for NH. AU still up 14-13.

Two missed kicks are the difference in the game right now.

2:45 left. NH stopped on fourth down. All 3 time outs but AU looking like they’re going to win.

Can’t win these close ones with a bad kicker.

NH gets lucky with a holding call. They will get the ball one last time at the 20 and probably need a TD. 2 minutes left.

More holding calls in this game than the rest of the NE-10 season combined

AU wins 14-13. Their defense played great, but NH made far too many mistakes to win. Assumption did what they did best and they deserved to win.

Oh, and I stand corrected, that was the starting kicker who couldn’t make one from 25 yards! That makes the loss even worse!

NH got caught for one when they converted a third and 6 at the end, and that was pretty much it for them.

Wow what a game. Congrats to Assumption for a great win. This is gonna be fun to determine the conference champ. Let the headaches begin.

I thought UNH was going to wear down the AU defense and score more. Missed extra point, wow.

I looked at the tie breaker language on the NE-10 web page. If the three teams win out, it looks like it will stand as a three-way champion. The 3 teams would have 1-1 records against each other. Then they would all have identical records against the rest of the conference. ???

In terms of playoff rankings, I think Assumption with 1 D2 loss will be the only NE10 team with a chance to get in. Bentley and NH are a toss-up and are probably well
behind the PSAC teams right now.

Assumption did what they had to do, play tough defense and wait for the opponent to make mistakes. They never beat themselves.

Man, that Assumption play-by-play guy sure was talking smack at the end of the game.

It was quite the game in Worcester today. Both teams could have won the game but kicking was the difference. That missed PAT and FG really hurt New Haven. The Assumption D did their job. The New Haven offense struggles in the 2nd half. Didn't score against Bentley or Assumption and just 7 against St A. They are not able to turn it on and off like last year. The OL might be the difference from last year as Degenhardt didn't have a lot of time to throw the ball at times.

If all three teams finish at 6-1, it will be a three-way tie for the title.
