Not a newcomer, but I want to see how Shegog has progressed/improved after being thrown in the fire as a Freshman last year.

Edit: I didn't realize Ruddick redshirted last year after being injured. I guess he may start???

Some schools are better at getting back with info than others. UWF is usually good about it.

I knew he got hurt early, but I didn't know he'd be able to redshirt. When is the cut off for redshirting?

It might be up to four games now to match the new transfer rule.

I'm very curious to see how this season goes.

VSU with a new coach and such. They've never repeated as national champs going 9-3, 9-3, and 6-4 in seasons immediately following their first three titles.

Also, think UWF could have a really good season in year four of the program.

Repeats have only happened 8 times in D2 (that goes back to the early 1970's). It takes more than talent to win a championship. Would love for it to become 9 that have repeated, but a lot of things would have to fall into place for that to happen (some things are out of control of the players and coaches ( particularly injuries)).

Have spent a little time around this coaching staff and have high regard. Based on Goff's history and the personnel he has back I believe we'll be pretty well balanced on offense (as was K. Bell (last year's Blazers ran the ball 55% of the time)). I believe the Blazer defense will be similarly fast and tough like the Black Swarm defenses of the past..

Don't know how the year will unfold but ready to get it started and see (the players report tomorrow and first practice on Friday).
