This is the first game I have been able to attend in person this year. I thought VSU’s offense looked pretty good, there are a lot of play-makers on this team, but the defense just couldn’t stop the run even though we knew it was coming (what felt like every play). West Georgia and West Florida, whom I consider our biggest rivals, are gonna be hard games this year, but not un-winnable. My neighbor Brent is a little less optimistic, he thinks Shorter is gonna put up 100 on us.

I agree. The only way we can win games with this defense is to score every time we get the ball.

VSU has had at least 4 HC's since my time on this board. I don't recall in those previous "transitions" the difficulty of adjustment to a new coach(or whatever the cause) seen this season.
Was talent depleted to such a degree that Goff would be experiencing the same outcome?

VSU opened the game with intensity. The team hasn't quit.
