Delta State has a very good team. We did lose a very talented quarterback. Our quarterback this year will do an excellent job. It will be an exciting year.

No.17 Delta State is again 2-0. Going to play the Wingate 1-0 Bulldogs in a regional game in North Carolina which matters due to how D2 is regionalized. Delta State QB Cole Kirk is tied for 2nd among Division 2 leaders in points responsible for 48. Top 15 in passing efficiency yards and top 10 in touchdowns. And 22nd among D2 runners 170 and RB Kelvin Smith is 38th with 139 yards. Also in D2 Delta State is 6th on 3rd down offense. Also the DSU offense is 6th in D2 in passing 322.5 yards per game. Through for 645 total yards 4th in D2. The Wingate Bulldogs are 1-0. Only allowed 12 points in opening game. Game at 2pm central. Go Statesmen!!

The quarter back got hurt at the end of the first qt. Did go back in. We did not do the job
