Defensive - Rondrow Peebles, Carson-Newman (12 tackles, 3 solo, 1.5 sacks, 3.5 TFL, two pass breakups)

Special Teams - Demetrius Mann, UVA-Wise (103 yds PR, one for TD, blocked EP)



Week two:

Offensive - Jerko'ya Patton, RB, Limestone (140 yds rushing, 2 TD, 5.8 yds/carry, two catches for 11 yds. Became career leader for the Saints with 11 rushing TDs)

Defensive - Landon Scott, Lenoir-Rhyne (2 INT, 22 return yards for INT, a pass breakup and 4 solo tackles. Second career 2 INT day)

Special Teams - McLean Robertson, Wingate (2 FG - 40 and 45 yds, 4/4 PAT)

Much congrats to Jerko'ya Patton winning offensive player of the week. Great talent. Was Freshman Offensive Player of the Year in 2017. Limestone needs to base its offense by running the ball instead of an inconsistent passing attack which we have seen for the past 2 years... Maybe we will start winning football games if Head Coach Turk starts thinking that way since he's been running the offense for the past 2 years without a win.....

Defensive - Eric Jackson, L-R (3 INT, 10 tackles) - and Jackson also named D2 National Defensive Player of the Week on D2football.com
Special Teams - Thurlow Wilkins, Tusculum (191 yards return - record for Tusculum, including 93 yd kickoff return for TD)

Week 5

Offensive - Troy Dendy, CN (21.3 yds/carry, 149 yds rushing, 4 carries over 10 yards, 3 over 20 yds)
Defensive - Mannie Ogletree, Limestone (2 INTs, 41 yd INT return)
Special Teams - Kyle Dugger, L-R (2 TD punt returns, 67, 68 yards, first player to have 2 in single game for L-R)
