Really sad situation. Name was Nick Dixon, he was still in HS (Spartanburg I believe) but was committed to Wingate and died while undergoing an ACL surgery.

          Very sad situation.

Many look at this, and feel the loss of a football player, while sadly, a lot of others are now grieving the loss of a son, brother, grandson, friend, boyfriend, family member, etc, that can never be replaced.

My heart and condolences go out to his family and friends.

The last we heard was that they were still waiting on the medical report. A doctor friend suggests it could have been caused by a blood clot

Nick Dixon was a wonderful player and very sad this happened. Nick was about 6' and 245 lbs. Nick played linebacker, defensive line and even played running back for Spartanburg HS. Nick would play tailback in the Wildcat formation and run the ball especially near the goalline.

Keep his parents, family and friends in our prayers........
