Emory & Henry to join SAC in 2022-2023

The NCAA approved Emory & Henry's application for D2 membership:

The school will join the SAC starting in the 2022-2023 season. As noted in the "New Associate Members" thread, E&H's addition will bring the SAC to 12 football members when Anderson's football team begins play in 2024.

E&H will become the fourth D2 school based in Virginia and the second private school in the Commonwealth to become a D2 program (the other being Virginia Union).

What will the divisions look like once the SAC gets to 12 teams....

Barton and Erskine will be associate members in 2022 & 2023. if they want to split them up, Erskine would likely go to the Mountain Division (thus adding E&H and Erskine to Mountain and moving Limestone to Piedmont from the Spring Season).

Just curious which schools do you think would have a rivalry requiring a permanent crossover?

South is going to be a tough division.... Going to be much easier playing in the North (Mountain) Division.....
