The first half of Newberry's season has been disappointing for me. We new we had some pieces that would need to be replaced from last year, but I really felt that Coach Knight and the staff could finish in the top 2 or 3 in the SAC this year. As we have seen some improvement in the offense over the last few weeks, I feel like our defense has digressed. It is like we cannot closeout a game. For these reasons, I just don't see us winning this week against a good Barton team. I think it will be close like so many of our other games; however, unless the defense shows they can play 4 full quaters, I think we will come up on the short end of the stick again this week.

Newberry defense looks terrible. Can't stop the run or pass. Barton can pretty much do what ever they want on Offense.Comment
