The NCAA has agreed to pay more than 2.7 billion dollars in damages to past and present D1 players over 10 years. All D1 athletes back to 2016 will be paid by the NCAA. Power 4 conference schools can now pay up to 20 million to student athletes every year.
In my opinion, this further pushes college football in the wrong direction and increases the "D1 or bust" mentality to players coming out of high school. The one positive of this passing is that it will protect schools from antitrust lawsuits by student athletes. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts. I am attaching 2 articles to this post (hopefully they work).
