Its getting down to that time, I figured id put my 2 cents in on the rest of the season for what its worth and see how close I get. Feel free to argue butcher what I say its part of it right????

Newberry 6-1 Newberry (8-1, or 7-2)
Cat, CN, Wingate 4-2 Wingate 7-2
Emory 5-3 Emory, CN, Cat 6-3
LR 4-3 LR 4-5
Anderson 3-4 Mars Hill 4-5
Mars Hill 2-4 Anderson 3-6
Wise 1-6 Wise 1-8
TC 0-6 TC 0-9
Newberry- I think newberry takes care of anderson this week which sets up a showdown next week at the graveyard vs the Eagles. Im going with newberry since they are at home which means they will get a week to rest up before playoffs.
Wingate-I think the Bulldogs win their last 3 but it also depends on what LR, TC, and MH have left. I'm sure all three would love to be a spoiler. Bulldogs ride a hot streak into the playoffs.
Carson Newman-I do think the Eagles are going to have a big say in what happens the rest of the season and could mathematically (Just like Catawba) have a shot at a tie for the conference title but they must win out. Their games the next two weeks are huge, I think they win at home this week to set up a huge showdown at the graveyard next week. They have been a different team since the first half at Mars hill a few weeks ago (had the small hiccup at EH) so its definitely possible.
Catawba-Can also have a tie for the conference championship but again they have to win out I think this weeks game is maybe bigger for them since they already have a tie breaker (are there such things anymore) over newberry. If they somehow win this week, I think they take care of anderson at home which would set up a big time rivalry game the last week of the season in hickory.
Emory and Henry-Completely different story than two weeks ago for the wasps. Had the won either of the last two weeks they would be in the hunt for the conference title and maybe even play offs as well. The way it stands they cant finish better than 6-3 in conference which could be in line for a conference title but they would need lots and lots of help. I think they take care of shaw and wise to finish out their year.
LR- Good win for LR at Mars Hill last week and in spite of how everyone on here says they have had a bad season (I get it totally) they could end it on a hot streak and make some noise in the conference race. Yes I realize based on my projected standings I have them losing both games and I do think they will lose at wingate however I think the catawba/Lr rivalry and the extra week of prep will have them ready for catawba and potentially they can cost catawba majorly. I'm sure that would be an ok way to end their year. Something I forgot to mention is if they have good special teams like they did last week, watch out!!!!
Mars Hill-Im sure everyone at mars hill is glad to see the october calendar come to an end. The Lions went 0-4 in the month of october to unfortunately take themselves out of the conference race. In spite of all of that they can salvage the season by winning the "games they are supposed to" and finish close to or above .500. They have to win out of course and that would include winning on the road at wingate, but they have to get through TC and wise first. They definitely have the talent to do it in my opinion, I do think the tc game could be closer than people think, I do however think they pull away after the half and win and then beat wise at home. If they win the next two that gives them a little bit to play for at wingate as they would be fighting for an above .500 record.
Wise & TC- Both teams have had tough years I don't think any of us would argue that. Neither team has an easy schedule either. Wise does have this week off before a trip to MHU and the Battle of Virginia, so that will help them get some things worked out but its all how they respond. TC has two chances to make their home fans happy before going to mossy creek for that last week rivalry game. TC's best shot a win is against a Mars hill team this week coming off a complete whipping at the hands of LR. If TC gets off to a good start that game could be closer than expected as I said. If they allow JR Martin to run around and they give him time they are in trouble.
