Coming off its 6-4 season for the 2019 campaign, first-year head coach Maurice Flowers' Wildcats will take to the field for the first time on Sunday night, Sept. 5, against Tuskegee University at the Red Tails Classic in Montgomery, Ala., on ESPNU.
The 2021 Wildcats schedule gets no easier after the Golden Tigers as they head to Tallahassee, Fla., against NCAA Division I Rattlers of Florida A&M on Sept. 11. FVSU also travels to Benedict College (Oct. 2) and Morehouse College (Oct. 16).
The Wildcats will have a four-game home slate beginning with new Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference member Allen University on Sept. 25. Central State visits Fort Valley on Oct. 9 and Savannah State on Oct. 30. Clark Atlanta will be the FVSU Homecoming contest slated for Oct. 23.
FVSU wraps up the 2021 docket in the annual Fountain City Classic in Columbus, Ga., against rival Albany State on Nov. 6.
The Wildcats will continue to try and fill either the first week allowable (Aug. 28) or the third week (Sept. 18) as a 10th contest.
Kick-off times will be announced later in the summer or when they become available.
