New D2 Bowl Game

Just learned about the Corsicana Bowl game. New bowl game this year that will feature at-large bids between the GAC, LSC and MIAA. This means the GAC has an auto bid to Texarkana and now two bowls (HOT Bowl & Corsicana Bowl) that a GAC team can earn an at-large bid.

If eastern looses to Midwestern i see them getting an invite to this or the Hot bowl. BUT i dont see them loosing to MSU either.

No. The Agent Barry Live United Bowl benefits the United Way. FYI - The United Way's national
slogan is LIVE UNITED....hence the bowl name. For each of the bowl's first four years, a check
was presented to the United Way.

The extra practice and reps matter, as does the extra media exposure. Nearly every program that goes to a bowl benefits.

I'm with you here, it's good for everyone involved. The city that hosts it benefits as well. I think more in the future would be a good thing.

One guy has said it would be interesting if some of these bowl sponsors with some of these minor bowls at d1 wouldnt benefit from having a d2 and d3 game associated with each. Make it a festival like the lsc did for a few years in Dallas.

In fairness, it's still a money grab. This one just happens to be for a great cause!
