When I covered a game at Ouachita a couple years ago, I recall their coach saying that the Tigers set aside 15 minutes in each practice specifically for Harding's triple option offense. I don't know too many other teams in the GAC which do that (perhaps they do, but I obviously haven't talked to every single coach in the league), but that spoke volumes over how seriously OUA takes their game over Harding.

I don't know if anybody else does it or not, but i knew OBU did. It shows. They do a good job. Even on years we beat them, they make us earn it for sure.

When you have as historic a rivalry as OUA and HU have (no offense intended to Henderson State) stretching from NAIA to GSC to GAC days, that tends to happen. It wouldn't shock me if they have a relatively easy path to the GAC title until the last two games vs. SAU and at HSU, which will probably be their two toughest tests of the second half of the season, with OBU, SNU and UAM in between the Harding and SAU games.
