OBU at least has their burgers and brawts grilled on site. You but at concession stand, but go and get them off the grill.
The food truck thing has gone back and forth a couple of times. I thought the latest was that there was going to be a food truck court somewhere in town, but I'm not sure. The arguments against them have been a mixture of protectionism and safety. It's hard to make sure that the food trucks are following food and health regulations as I'm pretty sure we only have a part-time inspector. Our brick and mortar restaurants barely scrape by for the most part. They have lobbied against food trucks that aren't paying rent to local landlords, might not be licensed or get inspected, etc. Bigger towns might have more established trucks where those aren't issues, but we're talking about Arkadelphia. The only trucks that are going to be here would be fly-by-night at best.

You are surrounded by farming, and you only have about 10,650. Magnolia has less to do, and they have 11,467. Arkadelphia is a town I wouldn't mind calling home, if my wife allowed me to live there. Conway will be just fine for now.

Kids come, then leave after 4 yrs. We don't have enough other, older qualified people for companies that hire recent grads to move here or anything. We have lots of faculty, but again, new ones only come when old ones leave. There is a large mechanical-process paper mill (no oder) coming in the next few years, but they will only employ a couple hundred at most.
