I wish to give my congratulations to the Ferris State for the win on Saturday over my HU Bisons. Three games played in Ferris with the first two split games that were very close scores. The most recent game was a dominating force to be reckoned with. Great game plan by the coaches to defeat the Bisons. I will be interesting next year as the Super Regions are adjusted. Look forward to what occurs over the next few years.

Have watched a good 75-80% of HU games since 1976, 22 years in person and since then by computer/tv. Have seen ups and downs and tough games and blowouts to and by the Bisons. Will always be proud of them and appreciate the chance to support them.

Glad to have played Ferris and GV this year. I'm not a betting man, but I do feel the "easy money" is on Ferris winning in McKinney. My 10 year son and I flew to Texas to watch the national championship game last year. Plans this year will most likely keep me from viewing the game but still, good luck to you over the next two weeks.

Oh, I would have liked to had Harding win and possibly play Slippery Rock. One of the teachers in my school attended SR and he and I had some great discussions of the "what if..." type, but that will not be happening this year!

I haven’t heard any sore losers, in fact almost everyone on this board has given Ferris their props and said we got whipped. And no I don’t think you would like to play us a second time any more than the first. Make no mistake, that Ferris team is winning the NC. Don’t begin to think because we lost to them that the outcome against your team would be any different this year. LR is NOT Ferris and that’s a fact and SR3 is still far and away the best super region in all of D2 football and that is also a fact

So we’ve now reached the part in the thread where the insult back is “yeah, well the major D1 teams in my region are better than the major D1 teams in your region!” Cool cool. Seems super applicable.

My posts are typically in response, in this case to “how does it feel to get beat by a bunch of northerners?” I didn’t introduce the North vs South narrative. Not to mention I don’t have a dog in the fight any more so although I’ll always pull for Harding, I slept quite well Saturday night. Memory serves me right, we beat everyone last year.

That, my friend, is coming to an end soon. Now that money can be dumped into programs and players above the surface, expect to see a lot of those 5 stars heading out of the south.
