Cardinal QB throws it long but it is picked off and the Laker DB takes it all the way back to the house for the score

      GVSU - 63
      WJC - 10

        FINAL

        GVSU - 63
        WJ - 10

Laker D played well, they are solid (two penalties gave them two first downs on that opening drive) - the O, still needs some work - penalties bad in the first half, much better in the second half

Wadley had over 200 yards receiving - 11th player to do so in GV history

Indy was 3rd in the region but lost and everyone else won - so there will be some movement in this weeks regional rankings

This was supposed to be a bye week in the GLIAC schedule so they were happy to get a game
No turn-overs again this week - YAY
Kotopka threw for 4 TD's and one pick at the end of the fist half
Two o-line starters did not play
D played well all game except the two penalties in the first drive
All RB's were back healthy, played and ran well
Wadley caught 8 passes for over 200 yards, scored on the first O play and had two other TD's receptions
D held them to 42 yards in the first half - 40 were in the first drive
D finished well taking the right angles to the QB
            This is GV Football
Now its XERRIS WEEK - and XERRIS STILL SUCKS

I like the way that the GVSU Offense has progressed as of late. Getting Kotopka healthy has helped as has getting their stable of running backs healthy again. I also like how we are seeing the ball distribed to the tight ends more as well as the safety value to the running back. Wadley getting healthy has been huge! Having a QB that can run and keep the plays alive has been a nice change this year. This offense is VERY young and it shows at times for sure but they are making steady progress. The O Line will need to get healthy quickly as they finish with two very good games at Ferris and then Wayne State at home. Kicking seems to be solid at place kicking and punting is by committee it appears, which works. The first string D is gonna have to keep up the amazing work they have done so far this year...it appears they are really hitting their stride and should be able to make any teams offense nervous. This next two weeks will be tough for sure and we will see what they can get done but overall you gotta love the youth movement at GVSU. Now FINISH!
