  • William Jewell at LIndenwood

Renewal of an old NAIA HAAC rivalry.

Haven't met since 2010, LU took that one 29-18. Aside from at 73-6 drubbing in 2009 by LU, this has generally been a competitive game, even during the days when the Lions clearly had the more talented squad.

More thoughts on this later, but I'm sure the Lions are pretty ticked off sitting at 0-2 when they are clearly a team of much higher quality.

This is one of four games this week that have the potential to be blowouts.
    WJC at LU
    INDY at MCK
    VALPO at TSU
    MILES at MST

Lindenwood will roll in this game.
Mo S&T and Miles will be a very close game either way. Miles has given up 5 net total rushing yards in 2 games.

aThat's an impressive stat no matter who they have played.

I think Elwood walks away with this one.

I really envy the fans of teams in conferences that get to play OOC games. I miss getting to see new teams each year, or at least every few years.

It has been fun seeing new teams!

Looking forward to getting some MIAA on our schedule again once they do away with their silly silo scheduling.

I think this has the potential to be a game for a bit. Schneider has a couple of nice weapons at WR and if he has time, they can move the ball as they showed against WTU in the first half last week. I think ultimately LU"s depth on the defensive side will wear them down.

Now only if P-wolf and Sodak were still around to mix it up!!

I thought I read somewhere that was the plan in a couple of years?

It wasn't pretty but lindenwood got it done.

Rushed out to a 28-0 lead and looked like they couldn't be stopped.

William Jewell scores 16 unanswered on a long field goal and the legs of Will Schneider. Lindenwood defense then steps up and shuts down the cardinals the rest of the way while they milk the clock with Dalton Grohler, our 3rd string running back (Sutherlin and Stack didn't play)

                            On to Davenport

Winning is winning but they shouldn't have let WJ back in the game.
