    Re: Quincy Offseason thread

Can someone enlighten me on what happened with the QU qb situation last year. Injury, production, etc???

Seems that Harris started the year as more of a dual threat type QB, but Rund finished it.... although it didn't look clean cut like that on game logs. There were some games where both got playing time.

Whatever happened it created a disaster offensively for the Hawks as they only amassed around 13 points per game.

I look at their team kind of like WJC in that they look to be stockpiling talent more on the defensive side of the ball. Although they are losing their all-world (Connor Harris junior) LB Cody Leonard, I see enough play makers around the field to fill the gap. Interesting that their 2 early signings were on the defensive side of the ball and not targeted towards helping the offense like Jewell did the the Grigsby signing.

          Re: Quincy Offseason thread

          Quincy got some commits...

          Cory Reiter

          Park Hill High School
          Positions: C, T
          Height & Weight: 6'1" 230lbs

          https://a.hudl.com/profile/7362525/Cory-Reiter

Looked to play center mostly in highlights. Really good first step and comes off consistently with ideal pad level. Good hip control and fight once engaged. I really like this kid's highlights and would imagine he would've been recruited at a higher level if not for his size. While you don't need a lot of height at center, being only 230 coming out is probably a little small. He'll need some time to develop physically, but has the skill to compete and dominate once he is ready to hit the field. Good get for the Hawks.

          DeAngelo Hudson

          Simeon Career Academy
          Positions: RB, OLB, FB
          Height & Weight: 5'8" 185lbs

          https://www.hudl.com/profile/7355676/DeAngelo-Hudson

Squatty little power back out of Chicago. Very quick and nice change of direction. Pretty tough to take down; not going to be stopped with arm tackles. Not sure if he has elite speed, but his vision and cuts are enough alone to make him a dangerous big play threat. Also catches the ball out of the backfield pretty well. Will be interesting to see what his physical development looks like in the coming years. Could be a work horse with the short solid frame.

            Re: Quincy Offseason thread

So Quincy checks in with 49 total signings.

Nice get in the Blair Oaks OL. A few local STL kids on there that were nice gets as well. Those St. Mary's WR's were a couple of twin towers.
