Well to be fair they are being baited by our resident FHSU troll :)

When a conf title was on the line the line they let the team on the come up roll in and beat them, that matters. Hays just needs to continue taking that next step.
If anyone is in denial, it is you. Congratulations on winning consecutive conference titles. However, until you prove you can win in the postseason, you are no better than UNO when they were in the NCC.

But from FHSU perspective, right at the moment that is the goal. When coach Brown first came to us he described a plan as he saw it for the development of the program. First we had to do better than .500 seasons. The we had to find a way to beat the other Kansas colleges, then we had to find a way to win the MIAA.

His point was, at each step we become more desirable to potential recruits. Good players want to be part of good programs. NW has had the pick of the potential litter for years, now we are being seen as a viable alternative and can get access to kids with the talent to contest PO football.

It's not really denial. Fort Hays won two times in tight games. When two good teams play, one is going to lose. Twice now, it's been Northwest. Both times, the games were actually bad, sloppy games, but Fort Hays found a way to win. Good for them. Now they need to find a way to win in the playoffs. MIAA championships are just one goal as the season begins. Or at least it should just be a goal and not THE goal.

Yes, too bad the MIAA team didn't get to host a PO game this year. We would of at least had more fan$ in the stands. I was surprised that attendance at Lubbers was so MEH. They did do a great job with the broadcast. Their camera crews looked to have a few years on them. I'm used to seeing students at NW. and other MIAA schools.

But FHSU cant get all cock-o-hoop over two great years. Love em or hate em, the reality is NW have managed to generate a relevant program going back 20 years. Something no other team in the MIAA has managed. And please be careful about bandwagons. It was not that long ago a crowd of a 1000 people at Lewis field was considered good numbers. Now anything under 4000 is considered disappointing.

IB, please remember that A.) Hookem only roots for whomever is winning and isn't Northwest, and (most importantly, IMO) B.) it's not fair to use numbers, history, statistics, or facts against self proclaimed geniuses like him. Just let the big dang dummy be a big dang dummy and all will be well. We *ALL* know he's hopeless and/or lost in stupidity.

Thanks I was not sure. We have gone to NW for the last two years and the Gorillas came to our house so I did not want to assume anything
