    Maybe it's more about recruiting than coaching. NW just not getting all the studs they used to get. The spotlight on NW has maybe started to fade.

      Dorrell was never anything special. He inherited a program with sustained dominance, funding, and culture. His offenses were never anything special, the defenses during his tenure at NW were absolutely unreal. Most complete defenses and deepest talented dlines. They also had tons of talented kids walk on at NW when they could have had scholarships at other miaa schools. He's an average coach that landed in a dream scenario.
