Definitely. I wonder if they'll add some called runs for him at some point.

Yikes. 2 awful throws from the bod QB. Poor kid is in over his head.

I hate the forced ads on this stream. UCO used to be the only team who did that. Looks like the bugs have jumped on board, too.

Here’s a breakdown of the key stats and moments:

First Downs: Emporia led with 6 first downs, while Washburn managed 3.

Rushing: Emporia’s rushing game was solid, accumulating 106 yards on 26 attempts, with an average of 4.1 yards per carry. Washburn struggled in this area, gaining just 19 yards on 15 attempts, averaging 1.3 yards per carry.

Passing: Emporia’s passing game was more effective, with QB G. Gundy completing 17 of 27 attempts for 135 yards, though he threw one interception. Washburn’s QB K. Hurla completed 8 of 11 attempts for 63 yards.

Total Plays: Emporia ran 42 plays for 241 yards, averaging 5.7 yards per play, while Washburn managed 30 plays for 97 yards, averaging 3.2 yards per play.

Turnovers: Each team had one turnover—Emporia’s came via an interception, while Washburn lost a fumble.

Penalties: Both teams were disciplined, with Emporia committing 5 penalties for 35 yards and Washburn also having 5 penalties but for 45 yards.

Possession: Emporia had the ball for 16:56, while Washburn controlled it for 13:04.

Third Down Efficiency: Emporia converted 5 of 9 third downs, compared to Washburn’s 3 of 8.

                    • Washburn QB: Efficiently managed the game with an 8-11 passing performance, accumulating 63 yards without throwing any touchdowns or interceptions.

Emporia QB: Had a solid first half, completing 17 of 27 passes for 135 yards. His longest completion was 21 yards to T. Zimmerman, and he spread the ball around, hitting multiple targets. However, he did throw one interception.

                    Key Plays:

                    • Emporia’s offense showed balance, with strong contributions from both the passing and running games. Their ability to convert on third downs, especially in critical situations, helped maintain drives and control the clock.

                    • Washburn struggled to establish a consistent running game, which put pressure on Hurla to move the chains through the air.
                    • Emporia’s defense stepped up in key moments, notably with a sack by S. Sieperda and a combined sack by C. Adams and S. Adams, disrupting Washburn’s rhythm.

As the second half approaches, Emporia will look to build on their momentum and capitalize on their strong performance in the first half, while Washburn will need to make adjustments to close the gap and find a way to challenge the Hornets’ defense.

I was wondering if that was ESU or Hudl. They need to turn the volume down on the ads, or if that’s not possible, they need to turn the broadcast volume up. I can’t hear the game because a random ad will blow the speakers. Smdh.
