Pleased with the Western Oregon University football season. First three games of the year were very tough, playing Angelo State to the wire was impressive. Had some stumbles here and there, offense wasn't always clicking. But overall very pleased with the year, how the players progressed, and how the coaching staff did.
So glad my alma mater sponsors football. Every little dinky university and Christian school in America has basketball. To have football you have to care about your university, invest in it, and make it a big event on campus. Having gone to Western Oregon homecoming this year, I was amazed at the support, tailgating, and the good vibes from the entire event.
Here's hoping that small college football can grow on the west coast, particularly division 2, and that we can get a full GNAC someday. Looking forward to next season.
