Sharp still has 12 months to go. Hopefully Wendler will retire too and before Sharp.

Not sad Sharp is retiring. When he first took on the Chancellor job for the A&M System, he had the fire and goal to get the system schools up to standards much like UT has treated their system schools. But in the last few years it seems to me that fire went out and most of his effort along with the BOR has been focused on Tarleton with the rest of us getting or begging for crumbs. You just have to go look at what many of the campuses are getting as far as capital projects and new degree programs and you can see the effort is to make Tarleton what UTSA or UTA is to UT-Austin.

TAMUK probably didn't help itself when a few years ago, Sharp wanted to merge Kingsville with Corpus for the full intent to be able to tap the PUF. When a local State Rep called Sharp a liar and disgrace to the so called Aggie honor code, that didn't help either I'm sure.
