    Evan Heim was named to the first team D2Football.com All-American team. Nate Gunn and Shane Zylstra were named honorable mention.

    He was always a nice guy in all public functions as well. Happy to see him at the FBS level. Always a journey as a college football coach.

    Nice to see Mr. Klanderman get this position with K State. I recall him as an outstanding player at MSU; also a very good DC when coaching at MSU.

He went through the four options and it came down to declining enrollments, declining participation by local athletes, declining interest in athletics by the community and lack of funding and on campus dorms. He was very open and honest- said that they tried to contact all the former athletes going back to 2011 and found that there wasn't much interest from football alumni. Sad to say, but I think all things considered that it was the correct decision.

    For whatever reason there are A LOT of JUCO/CC programs dropping football across the country.
    Thanks, 4LIFE. Yes, 7 teams have dropped since the end of the season. 6 in Arizona. They are down to 58 in states outside of California.

    Unfortunate news. Both campuses of Ridgewater are a half hour to an hour from me. However, I can understand the rationale, and hopefully they can reallocate the resources to the remaining men's and women's athletic programs.

    I read on Twitter that the Blake is getting railings for the steep stairs.... ugh another band-aid to delay any real talks of replacing an aging facility.
