  • Upper Iowa Vs CSP

Had the chance to watch back the first half and parts of 3rd Quarter. CSP's QB Dom McKinzy has an innate feel for the passing game and a very natural, quick release of the football. He is a natural passer with great spatial awareness. CSP's defense continually played zone coverage both on back end and in intermediate areas and really messed with the timing of UIU quick game attack out of spread. Also to note, Brent Lammers (UIU) QB threw the ball 60 times on the day. Thoughts on Lammers - An athletically gifted QB with solid fundamentals but there may be something missing. He proved to be generally accurate on the day but has a small hitch in his throwing motion and it is 3/4 delivery. Arm Strength and throwing his WR's open seemed to be lacking today. He is however a very decisive decision maker. May need to hang in pocket extra beat at times..

also to note - UIU WR's as a Unit were just average, not sure if it was because of what CSP was doing defensively but they looked a bit stiff and slow at times.
