Texas A&M-Commerce Wins Top 10 Showdown in AFCA Division II Coaches Poll

It took two days to finish because of weather delays, but Texas A&M-Commerce handed conference rival and then-No. 4 Midwestern State (Texas) its first loss of the season. On Saturday, the game was postponed at halftime in a 10-10 tie. Because Texas A&M-Commerce couldn't find lodging within two hours of Wichita Falls, Texas, on Saturday night, the game was moved to Denton, Texas and played at the University of North Texas. The Lions held on for a 20-19 victory when Midwestern State's last-second field goal try went wide right. The Lions move up to No. 7 with the win while the Mustangs drop to No. 12.

Thanks to Midwestern State's loss, Ouachita Baptist (Ark.) rises into the Top 5 at No. 5. Minnesota State still sits at No. 1 with 29 first-place votes, followed by Grand Valley State (Mich.), Ferris State (Mich.) and West Georgia who all held steady.

Tiffin (Ohio) and LIU-Post (N.Y.) jump into the Top 25 this week after Fort Hays State (Kan.) and Azusa Pacific (Calif.) drop out. The Dragons, who were last ranked on Oct. 16, 2007, comes in at No. 22 while the Pioneers sit at No. 25.

Top 25 matchups this week include No. 3 Ferris State at No. 2 Grand Valley State, No. 4 West Georgia at No. 10 West Florida, and No. 7 Texas A&M-Commerce at No. 16 Tarleton State

Obviously not a BSU fan in the slightest for obvious reasons but with them taking UMD to OT and that being their only loss, I'm baffled they aren't getting more attention in the poles. Especially with how their Defense has played and the comeback victory over USF...

I'm expecting a really tough game with them, as usual, up by the lake in two weeks.
