Duluth will be tougher this year than last, The O line is young but progressing very well, new O line coach UMD Upshaw Award winner Garth Heikkinen is a great addition to the staff. the O is lead by new coordinator Chase Vogler who needs no introduction. Many key players return on O and D, the WR corp has the most dept with 2 transfers that got a good amount of playing time at NWMSU. The D will be extremely tough again as they lead the nation in total D last year, many key returners and 2 transfers one from West Virginia(DB) and one from South Dakota (LB). We will be challenged on the North by BSU and SCSU, and MSU and USF are on the schedule. the MSU game should be for the NSIC championship and top seed for the playoffs, but the games have to be played, injuries happen and there are not many easy games in the NSIC. I do know that the staff is very happy with the summer camp and the progress that has been made and are excited about the home opener next Thurs. 1-0 every week, should be a interesting and exciting season in the the NSIC.

Bulldogs will be tough again this year, with the season boiling down to injuries and how they fare against Mankato and Sioux Falls. Almost every season has one team that surprises, and everyone is trying to improve, so winning is absolutely tough to do! Bulldog fans take for granted 10 or 11 wins each season...a tough standard to reach year after year!
