Very nice win by MSU tonight 27-7. Defensively a fine accomplishment to limit Augustana to 7 points. Nice weather for the game, and some good attendance.
Great to be 2-0, and on to St. Paul next Saturday.

Defense was impressive only giving up one TD. Kept the Mavs in the game until they made some big plays. Overall the offense looked disjointed- penalties, turnovers- but a 27-7 win over a good team before 5,000 people is still a win.

Agree. Seemed like the Mavs would get the ball inside the 40, then either get a penalty or turn it over most of the time. Offense needs to get things tightened up. Schlichte threw 2 picks tonight. Although the first one was 100% on Zylstra. Right in his hands for a likely TD and he drops it, right into the hands of the DB.

Thats one thing that really needs some tightening. Far too many dropped passes tonight.

Nice write-up, and good reporting by him as usual.
Great to have Taormine back at RB; also Redshirt Freshman Sleezer is showing some nice running ability. In addition of course to Gunn's phenomenal abilities.
The o-line has a lot to do with their success of course, and hopefully they can continue their good work and keep improving.
Defense really played well; especially in the second half.
