UMD Spring Game

The weather wasn't very cooperative as it was snowing / sleeting the day prior and on game day. I thought they did a very good job getting the field ready, however, the stands weren't touched and I saw several people slip and fall on the snow and ice covered stairs. Game was quick with 7 minute quarters and ended with a few minutes left in the 4th. The defense looked good and I think this will be a strength of UMD on the season. Interestingly, Eggert was the only QB that took snaps so he ran with both squads. I thought he made a couple nice throws and performed well considering conditions. Looks like they are still trying to find that deep threat void that Carmickle had previously filled. Other pain point that's been an issue is the kicking game. More missed kicks so hopefully something gets sorted before game 1. It was an Achilles heal last year that impacted several games.

Overall was great to see some football, now to wait 4 months for the start of the season.
